In 2009, the then Pittwater Council adopted a comprehensive Plan of Management and associated Masterplan for the Church Point precinct to address the lack of car parking at Church Point.

As part of the final stage of the Church Point Precinct upgrade we exhibited the concept plans for the upgrade of Thomas Stephens Reserve and realignment of McCarrs Creek Road. These changes will revitalise the public space around the Church Point shops and improve the pedestrian safety in the area.

Work on the the pedestrian walkway, boardwalk extension and additional short term pontoons were complated late 2022.
